            Your data stays on your phone

            Saving Goose has no accounts, no ads, and no personal tracking. Everything you type (your income, payments, notes, and roasts) is saved only in this app on this phone. Nobody else can see it, including the developer.

            To know how many people use the app, it counts anonymous visits with Vercel Web Analytics: no cookies, no personal information, and nothing you type is ever sent. The app also loads its font from Google Fonts.

            If you turn on check-in reminders, your phone's notification address and your reminder hours, time zone, language and goose personality are saved on the Saving Goose reminder server so reminders can reach you while the app is closed. No money data is sent unless you switch on smart roasts. Turning reminders off deletes it.

            If you switch on smart roasts, the app also shares your budget totals so the goose can cheer or roast you: your monthly budget, total spent so far, pay-period dates, golden-egg streak, currency and first name. Individual payments, notes and categories never leave your phone. Switch it off anytime and the totals are removed.

            Keep your data safe

            Because your data lives only on this phone, deleting the app or clearing your browser data erases it. Export a backup every month and keep it somewhere safe, like Google Drive or iCloud. Only restore backups you made yourself.

            The roasts are just for fun

            Every roast, joke and "Baba" line is light-hearted humor meant only to encourage you to save. It's never an insult or a judgment about you, your family or anyone else. Pick Gentle coach, switch roasts off, or write your own anytime.

            Saving Goose is a personal budgeting tool, not financial advice. The roasts are jokes to keep you motivated. If money stress is weighing on you, talk to someone you trust.
